Complete with coil cars, automatic material-threading, butt shear and scrap winders this reasonably-automated 70m / min basic "light" Slitting Line is for galvanized, prepainted, aluminized etc. coiled stock, 250mm to1530mm wide x .5mm to 2mm thick (with Rm 410 MPa / Re 235 MPa).
The line composition, as per the EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION at bottom.
The minimum strip width is 100mm.
The decoiler is for max. 10 t, or OPTION: 15 t; entry coil ID 508mm, max. OD 1400mm.
The slitter arbor dia. is 140mm with knife OD 240mm; max. 10 slits are possible at 1mm material thickness, 8 slits at 1.5mm, 6 slits at 2mm. The strip width accuracy is within +/- .1mm* (* readout optional > photo: 7)
The recoiler is for max. 10 t, 15 t optional; exit coil ID 508mm, max. OD 1400mm.
The material threading speed is 5-10m / min.
Passline height: 1300/1650mm from floor level.

DECOILER
The decoiler is of allsteel construction with overhung three-segment mandrel drum. The drum expansion is hyraulically operated; the expansion range is: 480mm to 525mm. A frontal drum-support is provided to assist rigidity, that can "manually" be opened. The drum rotation is by a geared motor (AC with digital inverter), pinion, chain and ring gear. Operating mode: with loop or 'braked', for heavier gauge material.
COIL LOADING CAR (OPTION)
The coil loading car requires no floor pit. It is hydraulically operated, moves on wheels and rails. The horizontal stroke is 4500mm; vertical stroke 400mm. Max. Coil OD 1400mm.
MATERIAL THREADING TABLE
The material threading table is fixed to the shear entry guides and hydraulically operated. Its upper slip plane is covered by a steel sheet.
PROTECTION FILM DISPENSER for the material upper face
The protection film dispenser is mounted above the slitter head entry guides. The film reel support-axis has an air operated quick-clamp system; it suits for reels with 75mm ID and 400mm max. OD (weight max. 150 kg).
SLITTER HEAD & TOOLING
The slitter head comes is AC motor driven, with inverter; a hunting reduction unit is coaxial with the lower feed roll (>). It has: adjustable entry guides to center, by means of a handwheel; two feed-rolls (rooll dia.: 120mm) in hardened and ground steel, with the upper roll (rubber coated) lifted by air cylinders that are electrically operated from the line control panel; tooling-arbors also in hardened and ground steel, with adjustable "penetration" of upper arbor by angular reduction units that are operated together by a handwheel (a decimal scale 'clock' is mounted on the handweel, to show the "penetration" level).
The quick-clamp knives are fixed to arbors by means of screws.
SCRAP WINDERS
The coil-edge scrap winders are fixed to floor, on the sides of the slitter head. They are AC motor driven, with inverter; the potentiometer is mounted on the control panel.
Air-operated devices are provided for the 'zigzag' winding of scraps. The max. coiled-scrap weight is 200 kg for each winder; the max. scrap section is 30 mm2.
ROLLER & LOOP PIT TABLES
The roller tables are operated by air cylinders and, resp. fixed to the slitter head exit side and the strip tension unit entry side.
STRIP TENSION UNIT
The strip tension unit has: --separator overarm, overhung mounted on bearings; --"felt" pad, air-operated with two inflatable hoses (manually adjustable, with pressure gauge on the control panel); --fixed exit roll in ground and chromium plated steel; --air-operated exit table for introducing the slit coils to recoiler. The pad has a quick changeover system for the "felt".
When also braking rolls (OPTION) are provided, these are of 200mm diameter covered with oil- & wear- proof polyurethane.
RECOILER
The recoiler also is of allsteel construction and with a frontal support, hydraulically opening here, to assist rigidity. It is driven by an AC vectorial motor with inverter. The expansion of the full-round mandrel drum is hydraulically operated, with an automatic strip edge clamping gripper incorporated; the expansion range is: 475mm to 508mm. The coil ejection plate is hydraulically operated.
COIL OFF-LOADING CAR (OPTION)
The coil off-loading car requires a ca. 300mm deep floor pit. It is hydraulically operated, moves on wheels and rails. The horizontal stroke is 4500mm; vertical stroke 400mm. Max. Coil OD 1400mm. Manually adjustable containment flasks are provided to prevent overturning of coils.

With a clamping fork mounted on a crosswise-moving cart with integrated optical rule, it shows the a/m position on an electronic display.
ELECTRICS AND ELECTRONICS
Electric power cabinet with general switch, digital driving units [of BONFIGLIOLI VECTRON Brand] for the motors etc.; main control desk placed in front of the strip tension unit, with all man./auto. line controls; measuring encoder, industrial PC operator panel, VIPA [Siemens-standard] PLC, PROFIBUS, touch screen with our software: synoptic line diagram, diagnostics, tele-assistance etc.; manual control pedestals for decoiler, coil loading car if provided, material threading table, slitter, loop pit tables (the manual controls for the strip tension unit, recoiler and coil off-loading car if provided are on main control desk).
