This line is mostly in use for stainless steel coil slitting; secondarily, for copper coil (ca. 30% of total) and aluminium coil (ca. 20%) slitting.

Details:

Decoiler

The decoiler has a 15 t capacity, with a 1650mm mandrel drum. The 4-segments drum expansion range is 370-420mm.
The motor power is 60 kW, AC with inverter.
Electronic control of tension.
The gears are in oil bath.
700mm alignment stroke.
The powered, rubber coated snubber roll is 700mm long, with fixed arm.
A photoelectric cell is installed on decoiler to measure the Coil OD.

"EMG" automatic edge guide
with ± .5mm positioning accuracy

The edge guide system is with automatically-positioning photoelectric cell and proportional valves.

Spacers for decoiler mandrel drum

The spacers allow changing the mandrel drum expansion range to 470-520mm, for coils with 508mm ID.

Paper winder

This is for paper coils with a 70mm ID and a 400mm max. OD; and a 300 kg max. weight.
The expansion range of winder mandrel is 68.5-76mm. The mandrel expansion is air-operated; the winder drive is by AC motor.
The paper winding tension can be adjusted from control panel. Manual adjustment also possible.

Coil loading car

The car is of the "scissor" type with no floor pit. Has a 15 t capacity.
The up-down stroke is 650mm, the horizontal stroke (on rails) ca. 450mm; both, hydraulically operated.
Lateral containment bars are provided for narrow coils.

Has a 15 t capacity.

Pinch rolls and telescopic table

The rubber coated pinch rolls have a 300mm diameter and AC motor drive; hydraulic lifting of upper roll.
Straightening rolls are also included for the coil leading edge.
The hydraulically-operated telescopic coil threading table is complete with vertical guiding rolls, having powered lateral adjustment.

Has blades with two cutting edges and torsion bar.

This is for max. 500mm long scraps.

Slitter entry guide

Has vertical guiding rolls with powered, mutually independent lateral adjustment; and an electric edge-control system, not requiring the use of the 1.1 ^.
The powered upper roll, rubber coated, is adjustable in height; the two lower rolls are fixed.

Plastic film rolls
and protection film [PVC] coil mandrel

These rolls are rubber-coated and air operated.
The mandrel expansion also air operated, with expansion range: 70mm to 78mm.
(Film coil max. OD: 400mm.)

Dual Head Precision Slitter

The slitter shafts are of 225mm diameter, high-precision machined, for 320<>350mm circular knives.
The upper shaft motion is powered, with shaft position visualized on control panel.
The clamping of knives is hydraulic, with hand operated pump; the clamping pressure is adjustable in relation to the material thickness and number of slits.
Slitter drive motor: 140 kW, AC with a special reduction unit.
Universal joints.
Powered traverse with 4500mm horizontal stroke; the slitter heads move on wheels, guided by rails, with an hydraulic auto.-locking system to 'work' position.

Felt-pad for slit coil "tails"

With air operated closing/opening of the pad upper section.

Scrap baler

AC motor driven, the baler mandrels are synchronized with the line speed.
The mandrel extraction is hydraulically operated, as well as the upper pressing roll.
Maximum bale dimensions: 800mm x 800mm.

Loop overcoming table

Hydraulically operated, it is placed at loop pit entry.

Strip tension felt-pad
& loop pit exit rolls

With 4 independent air pipes and hydraulic opening, the pad has a quick felt-replacement system (with "Velcro").

A vertically-mobile stell roll with 400mm diameter, Adiprene-coated.

With 400mm diameter, the pinch rolls work either in lieu of the felt-pad or together with it.
The upper roll positioning is powered and visualized.

Burr flattener

With heat-treated rolls, quick closing/opening and auto. control of the closing in relation to material thickness & strip width. Very high precision positioning.

Mobile frame
- automatic -

The 8^, 8.2^, 8.3^, 8.4^ & 8.5^ are mounted on a common mobile frame sliding on precision ball guide shoes, with hydraulic drive motor and position-control encoder.
The "mobility" allows keeping the strip-winding angle almost constant and helps the slit coils to go beyond pit, up to the recoiler mandrel.

Interchangeable-mandrel recoiler
(mandrel changeover time: ca. 30 minutes)
with hydraulic mandrel support to assist rigidity

The recoiler has a 15 t capacity, with a 1800mm mandrel drum for 400mm Coil ID. The 8-segment mandrel is with no gap between two contiguous segments.
Hydraulic drum expansion & coil ejection plate.
Automatic clamping of the slit coil leading edges after mandrel expansion, with thickness-compensation system.
The motor power is 150 kW, AC with inverter.
Electronic tension-control system.
The hydraulic overarm is provided with rubber-coated rolls.
Automatic speed and winding tension adjustments.
Emergency brake independent from recoiler drive motor.
Photo-electric cell mounted on recoiler for the Coil OD measuring.

This decoiler suits for paper coils with 400 max. OD; the expansion range of its air-operated mandrel drum is 68.5mm to 76mm.
Also air-operated brake for paper tensioning.

Coil off-loading car
with 15 t capacity

"L" shaped, scissor-table type with no floor pit.

The up/down stroke of car is 650mm; the horizontal stroke 4500mm.
Minimum/maximum Coil OD: 600/1850mm.
Bars can be mounted on the car for side-containment of narrow coils.

Strip hold-down for car ^
with "fingers"

Hydraulically operated, it allows off-loading the slit coils before strapping (if this is wanted).

4-arm turnstile
with total capacity: 60 t

The turnstile rotation is powered, with automatic centering every 90°.

powered with air-operated coil clamping system

The tilter has hydraulic motion and a 6 t max. capacity.
It can receive 20mm to 600mm wide slit coils.

2.5m long, this roller table has a 6 t max. capacity.
