This fully-automatic Cell that we have designed and built includes a parts transportation & handling system.
The gantry type manipulator has a controlled axis + a pneumatic "Z"
The functions:
Vessel size recognition
CAD/CAM programming of cycle, according to the positions and diameters of the fittings to weld
Continuous auto.-matching of the welding torch position according to fitting diameter (: a closer position of the torch for the ¼”; ...more distance for the 1”).
As the fitting size changes, the ferrules also automatically get changed: for the joint cooling and for the weld-protection gas inlet
Automatic sense (by laser photo-cell) of the position of first hole and of the dimensions of plating; self-matching (to avoid collision with the torch) of the recorded data, if dimensions 'off-tolerances'
HMI on PC panel; storage of production-data records
